Paradigm--Effect is a Discord based roleplay set in a decaying reality not too

different from our own. It’s been 10 years since the moon suddenly exploded

into its new technicolor form. Many people found themselves personally

affected by the Rift in some way, giving them fantastical abilities, unlike

anything mankind has seen before. Though, as of recent, a lucky few Warped

have found themselves receiving a mysterious invite by email. Your character,

one of those brave (or perhaps gullible) enough to accept it, has now been

suddenly swept up into the ranks of an infamous Agency set on saving the

dying world it resides in.

 

This is a set end group, meaning that there are a clear beginning and end to the story; as such it will only run the duration of the planned plotline. This group is heavily character and interaction focused, every single choice your character makes will affect the ending in some way. From how you interact with the main cast of NPCs to something as mundane as your character choosing between taking the elevator or stairs, it all matters.

 

There are currently 8 planned chapters in total, with interludes in-between each. Chapters are where the main plot will be taking place and will run within an estimated amount of time after officially beginning. Interludes are where there will be downtime both in and out of character. Characters will take time to reflect and prepare for the next chapter while also getting to free roam within the provided setting and interact casually with one another. This is the same for players as well, participation during interludes is not required, though definitely encouraged as interactions and exploration at this time could lead to advantages and plot changes within the next chapter.
